STEP 19 - EMOTIONS AND GUT HEALTH

broken image

A clinical study showed that human emotions really are affected by gut bacteria. There is an intricate connection between our emotions and what is happening in our physical body and, in particular, a deep relationship between our emotions and thoughts—both conscious and unconscious—and our digestion.

As mentioned in the previous Step, poor digestive function can also lead to poor mental health or low mood. So having a digestive system that functions optimally will have dramatic effects on other body systems too: immunity, weight management, energy, and emotional health.

Essential Oils can have benefits on both digestion and our emotions, especially Citrus oils which are uplifting and elevating for the mood, but also cleansing and purifying for the gut. Essential Oils and related options that can help with both body systems include:

• Lemon

• Grapefruit

• Wild Orange

• Petitgrain

• Lime

• Melissa

• Bergamot

• Emotional Therapy System

With six Essential Oil blends representing six categories of emotional well-being, the EMOTIONAL AROMATHERAPY SYSTEM is comprised of aromatic plant families focusing on a continuum of emotions for a simple approach to using Essential Oils in emotional aromatherapy applications.

Each delicate blend contains Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils that can be used aromatically or topically to help balance and brighten the different emotions we feel each day, and which could be affecting our digestive system.

Just a few drops of these aromatic blends can elicit profound emotional responses to help you let go of burdens, feel uplifted, find comfort and encouragement, or inspire you to dream with passion again. The six oil blends in this system are:

• Encouraging Blend

• Uplifting Blend

• Inspiring Blend

• Renewing Blend

• Reassuring Blend
